Our additional licensure program is for individuals who have a current Minnesota license in elementary education and want to add a license in early childhood.
Earn a license to teach in early childhood (birth-third grade) classrooms in Minnesota. Build a strong foundation in child development theory, research, and developmentally appropriate methods that you can apply in the classroom.
Earn your master’s degree and learn foundational knowledge in child development and early childhood education. Prepare to work with young children and families in a variety of roles that don’t require a teaching license.
Earn a bachelor's degree in early childhood and make a difference in the lives of young children and their families in a variety of careers. Add an additional year of studies to earn your MEd and be a licensed classroom teacher.
