Frederique Corcoran is a 1st year PhD student at the Institute of Child Development (ICD). She is interested in preventing early adversity and promoting resilience by focusing on parenting practices and the structural determinants of health in vulnerable populations. Before beginning her work at ICD, Frederique was a part of the PADRES Lab at UCSB where she investigated the implementation and dissemination of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for marginalized populations. She also worked with Canan Karatekin and the Child Well Being Research Group at ICD on a scoping literature review of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), as well as with the University of Minnesota's Child, Youth, and Family Consortium on a Children's Mental Health eReview discussing the unique aspects of rural stress and trauma.
