Biography

I am a Certified Child Life Specialist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over thirty years of clinical experience within diverse clinical settings. I have done all the things one can do in child life, from bedside care with Hematology and Oncology patients, to leading an interdisciplinary team within a management role. My passion for and belief in the impact of Child Life Specialists led me to be a Co-Founder and the Executive Director of Pediatric Potential Inc., a non-profit organization working to improve psychosocial care for children in healthcare settings globally. My experiences abroad, whether presenting, facilitating child-friendly healthcare trainings for physicians and nurses, or supervising remote internships feeds my enthusiasm for my current role as Child Life Coordinator, Track Lead, Instructor and Academic Advisor. I value contributing to a new generation of Child Life Specialists that can continue to have a positive impact on the lives of children and families in the healthcare system.
