Biography

I have worked in a variety of settings including therapeutic preschools, elementary and junior high schools, both rural and urban community mental health clinics, and private practice. I enjoy working with the birth to five population and their families surrounding the impact of traumas, attachment issues, anxiety, and depression. Since this population is at a critical time in their development, I believe it is important to foster a trusting and collaborative relationship with caregivers throughout the therapeutic process. I also work with young children, pre-adolescents, and young adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and life transitions. I also provide reflective supervision to staff working with young children in child care settings.

I am certified as a DC:0-5 trainer and certified in Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catch-up (ABC newborn to four years old) as a parent coach and supervisor. I am trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I use a developmental, holistic, collaborative, client-centered approach to treatment, as I walk along side my clients throughout their healing journey, witnessing the strengths and gifts wellness brings.
